9/26/16: Monday Miscellany

  1. 9/26/16 Mon
    1. Woke up really late. Wrote messages,
      1. Setting up math club with Jacob Watkins! He has similar ideas to mine, wants to meet up each week and hash out a difficult but easy-to-communicate problem, or present interesting results encountered on one’s own.
      2. Talking to Jacob about the SPS quadrennial congress. He sounded excited about the idea. I’m hoping he’ll apply for the reporter award with me and we can get paid to write articles about it :D
      3. Asking Andrew about his research position! He said the prof was looking for another student to fill his role and that he’d be happy to recommend me. Which he did! So that’s exciting.
    2. Had lunch, grilled sandwiches! Downstairs with Xin. Very tasty.
    3. Not sure what happened until I took a bike ride around 4. Ended up getting groceries at Rising Sun Produce, a super awesome cheap outdoor produce market on 65th. Then headed to Eleanor’s house to watch the first Trump-Hillary debate. It’s fun but I can’t really make unbiased remarks :)
    4. Brandon and Eric and Joseph (nice EE dude) go to Korean Tofu House for dinner. I’m starving and go ham on some incredible dumpling soup and appetizers. Discussion turns to the future, AI, political science. Very good discussion. Eric’s a bright dude.
