a. Highlights:
Stayed up late doing math hw with Johan. Went to his house, baked pizza (like a
Risk party!) and drank tea. Planned to stay up super late, but slept through
our power nap alarm J
Also: awesome probability problem in 312. Imagine you have 30 dollars and your
opponent has 70. Flip a coin. Tails = you give a dollar to your opponent Heads
= converse. Game ends when one person has all the money. Turns out you have an
exactly 30% probability of winning all the money. WTF? Linearity of the bell
curve?
b. Other
things: Went on a run again in the amazing reserve down by the soccer field.
Went to the new Area 01 on west campus—it’s ridiculous—they have a makerspace,
image lab with greenscreen, and last but not least, a sound / recording lab,
which I toured.
